It's that time of year again!
And there are two movies that I must have on in the background during the holiday season; You've Got Mail & The Holiday. They fill the room with a bit of comedy, romance, and holiday spirit. I am inspired by the design and atmosphere of each scene as they provide a sense of coziness and warmth.

France, How I love thee!
The Hubs and I went to France for the first time and neither words nor images can express the fun and beauty we experienced on this trip! We toured along the French Riviera visiting Nice, Monaco, Eze, Antibes, and Cannes. We also made stops in Marsaille and an adorable town called Aix en Provence. History, Achitecture, and color surrounded us as we got lost in our exploration of Southern France.

Design Elements of Hearst Castle
I toured Hearst Castle for the first time and was overwhelmed by the ornate detail Mr. Hearst put into his home. He imported ceilings from churches and museums and replicated murals from famous artists all over Europe. The pictures just won't do it justice...

WallPaper
This weekend I had the opportunity to wall paper for the first time. My friend purchased a roll of wallpaper from Anthropologie and needed help hanging it, so you better believe I was all over it! I'm not familiar with all the different application processes for wallpaper but Anthro's was super easy. Aside from the measuring/cutting/and figuring out the repeat, the paper was self adhering so it just needed to be dipped in warm water to activate the glue and it was ready to go.
